Holy Trinity Sunday School

Faith, Friends, and Fun

Our Sunday School program is offered every Sunday from September through May for children in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Classes begin immediately following Divine Liturgy. We encourage all families to attend Divine Liturgy together at 10:00 AM. At the conclusion of Liturgy—before Father Vladimir’s sermon—children are dismissed to their classrooms.

Mission

The mission of our Sunday School program is to nurture and strengthen each child’s relationship with Christ through a deeper understanding of Holy Scripture, Holy Tradition, and the sacramental life of the Orthodox Church. Our goal is to support parents in guiding their children to grow spiritually within the fullness of the Orthodox faith.

In addition to weekly lessons on Orthodox Christianity, students participate in crafts and hands-on activities that reinforce each lesson in a meaningful and engaging way.

Following Sunday School, children enjoy a light lunch provided by our Sunday School families

Growing Together in Faith

Our Young Adults Catechism meets every other Sunday after Divine Liturgy, creating a welcoming and dynamic space for Orthodox young adults and recent inquirers who desire to deepen their faith.

This is more than a class—it is a community and a journey. Together, we explore the richness of the Orthodox faith, discover how it speaks to the real challenges of early adulthood, and learn how to live boldly and faithfully in today’s world.

Led by Nik Chkautovich, with the guidance and pastoral support of Father Vladimir, our gatherings are open, thoughtful, and encouraging. Here, you can ask questions freely, strengthen your understanding of the Church’s teachings, and grow in your love for Christ and His Church. You will find fellowship, mentorship, and a sense of purpose as you discern your path as an Orthodox Christian.

Holy Tinity Kolo Srpski Sestara

Circle of Serbian Sisters

The Holy Trinity Kolo Srpski Sestara was founded in 1928, when a group of dedicated women petitioned the Church Board to form an organization to serve the parish. Since then, the Kolo has played an important role in supporting Holy Trinity Church and in preserving the traditions of the Serbian Orthodox faith.

The Kolo’s primary purpose is to assist the church community through service and volunteer efforts. Members organize and host fundraisers and parish events, including bake sales, holiday food preparations, and luncheons. Proceeds from these activities help fund the purchase of needed items for the priest, church, hall, and kitchen.

The Sisters also contribute in many other ways throughout the year. They donate flowers for Christ’s grave at Pascha, assist with preparations on Good Friday, and volunteer their time to clean and care for the church and its furnishings as needed.

Women of all ages are welcome to join the Kolo and support our parish, preserve our heritage. Whether you can volunteer a few hours, share your talents, or simply wish to learn more, we invite you to speak with us during Sunday coffee hour or reach out to a board member to discover how you can participate in this important Holy Trinity mission.

New Voices Are Always Welcome!

The St. Louis Holy Trinity Church Choir has offered liturgical responses since 1907. Now in its second century, the choir continues to thrive through the faithful dedication of its volunteer members.

For more than 116 years—through wars, hardships, and changing times—the choir has remained steadfast, never wavering in its commitment to glorifying God through sacred song. As a founding member of the Serbian Orthodox Choral Association in 1963, the choir has shared its music across the United States and Canada, strengthening the bonds of Orthodox faith and fellowship.

New voices are always welcome. Those interested are encouraged to come and listen for a few weeks and contact a board member for more information about joining and how, together, we draw closer to God through song.

Bishop Nikolaj Velimirovic Fund

From Serbia to St. Louis, Life Changing Care for Children

Founded in 2012, the Bishop Nikolaj Velimirovic Fund was established to help children from Serbia travel to St. Louis for life-changing cerebral palsy surgery at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. What began as a focused effort to support these families has grown into a broader ministry serving both international and local communities in need.

Families make great sacrifices to bring their children for surgery, covering significant travel expenses and leaving home for extended periods. During their stay, Holy Trinity provides lodging through Ronald McDonald House or local accommodations, transportation to medical appointments, and emotional and spiritual support. Many children arrive in wheelchairs and, after surgery and rehabilitation, are able to walk down the aisle to receive Holy Communion. To date, we have served 33 children and their families.

In recent years, thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Fund has expanded its mission to support other respected charitable organizations, including The BackStoppers, FOCUS Gateway City, International Orthodox Christian Charities, 100 Neediest Cases, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and Larry’s Corner.

The Bishop Nikolaj Velimirovic Fund is sustained entirely through private donations from Holy Trinity stewards, parishioners, and friends.
